Missing Sunday Fundays with Ways of the Wild?
Returning this Autumn are our Sunday Clubs that will alternate with a Saturday Club every fortnight from our lovely, little Ravensnook.
Jay, Katie and Esme are looking forward to bringing back some term-time wildness for children aged 3-11 years old.
In keeping with the forest school ethos, consistent sessions are fundamental to nurturing a child's deep connection with nature and unlocking/unravelling an understanding of their inner and outer world. Here we have the time to develop our ideas (child-led and adult-led) and delve into many projects. Furthermore, we will be offering these sessions as a block booking - you order however many sessions you would like per season, and then you'll have the freedom to select which club days best fit into your schedule.
Expect more seasonal, nature-based crafts, wild exploration and practical skills development.
The Conservation Area (Ravensnook) is in the early stages of a transformation. The Council are looking for young people to impact and influence the way that it evolves and Ways of the Wild are excited to be working in partnership with them to achieve this - and our Forest School Club Members will be at the heart of it! We're big on positively impacting our environment, and don't take for granted the relationship that we have our site or any other, as the land literally holds space for us and the families that make up our WotW Community. So, if your child is a Nature Nerd or Little Eco-Warrior, they will absolutely love this aspect of our Forest School Club.
The club will operate similarly to our Summer Holiday Program:
Everyone gets dropped off at 9:30.
Half days will be 9:30 - 13:30, for 3-5 year olds.
Full days are 9:30-15:30, for 5-11 year olds.
We will provide morning and afternoon snack and enough water for refills. You provide them with a water bottle, a packed lunch, and enough spare clothes to get them through a rainy, sunny, messy, mucky, wild day with us in the woods.
We return them to you with blackberry juice around their chins and twigs in their hair: what a deal!
