COMMUNITY PICNICS

Throughout the year, we host Community Picnics to offer people of all ages an opportunity to gather in the lovely Conservation Area of Ravenscourt Park. Here we celebrate connection (with each other and our environment) and share food, stories, skills and joy. Each picnic will explore a different theme, reflected by the changing of the seasons and the teachings that nature offers. This is a space for you to meet like-minded people and families, and for us to get to know you too!

All of our Community Picnics are Pay-As-You-Feel, starting at £1 per ticket. We ask that you bring at least one item (food or drink) to add to the picnic table. Beyond that, the price of our Community Picnic ticket is completely up to you!

All donations from our Community Picnics go into a Community Pot which funds the activities and resources for the following Community Picnic.

POP-UP MUD KITCHENS

Once a month our much-loved Mud Kitchen pops up in Ravenscourt Park, challenging you one and all to get involved in some VERY messy play! Whilst we aim to make all our events as financially accessible as possible, as a community-building-and-driven business, it is important to us to always offer at least one free event each month... *cue the Mud Monster Parade*.

Each Mud Kitchen will be slightly different but all of them are likely to leave you and your children's hands and clothes compromised. They may be proud of the mud face paint they have acquired during their time at the Mud Kitchen but they may also appreciate a set of clean clothes to change into afterwards. We highly recommend coming in wellies and waterproof clothes or overalls.

The main thing is to give your child the freedom to engage with the elements however they see fit. Studies have shown that by simply smelling soil our brains release serotonin, and engaging with it, through exposure to different bacteria in the earth, helps to strengthen our immune system. So, if you're used to telling them no, "put that down, it's dirty", "enough now, you're soaked" or any other mess-avoidant instructions... Well... You're going to have chuck that out the window for this event!

Come with an open mind, a packed bag and possibly some baby wipes.
